Moving the office during the Covid-19 Pandemic has presented its challenges but has also been positive for safety considerations. In our new office, we have minimized contact surfaces on countertops and equipment and incorporate more features to prevent contamination. We now have smooth, easily cleaned LVT floors in all treatment areas. Air purification with HEPA filters have been added. Fortunately, in the dental industry, cleaning, disinfecting, and proper sanitation have already been imperative. Our focus will be to enhance what we already do daily, taking extra measures to keep our patients safe by monitoring social distance standards in our waiting area, sanitizing all common areas frequently, and minimizing touch points for patients.
The plan for the new office already included enough spacing to adhere to guidelines. We will also add time to the schedule for appointments and stagger treatment room use to allow decontamination. As before, we will wear masks but now will wear them at all times in contact with patients. Modifications in procedure technique to minimize aerosols will be incorporated.
Please be aware that we will be asking you to help with our efforts to keep everyonesafe. We will ask patients to call the office when they arrive, wear their mask, allow us to perform a touchless temperature, and ask a medical questionnaire.
We are extremely excited to see our patients again. Our team in now reaching out to patients who had to cancel their appointments due to the shut down and to patients who need to schedule their recall appointment. We will add extra time initially to your appointment to maintain a safe and sterile environment.
We will continue to monitor the situation and make changes as needed to our protocols. We will update you here and on Facebook. Our team looks forward to seeing you again! Stay safe and healthy!
